FORMAT
Day 1 (3 games)
Simple Swiss play. The first match will be paired randomly. The two matches after will be paired based on W/L and then battle points.
Day 2 (3 games)
Group play, determined by (144 players / 8) person round robin groups.
Group A: #1, #16, #24, #32, etc.
Group B: #2, #9, #17, #25, etc
Group C: …
Group D: ……
Group H: …
Group play pairings are as follows:
Groups placements are determined by your day 1 performance. The W/L per player followed by thier battle points. Your record and battle points will carry over with you from day 1.
Pairings with in the groups will be done based on W/L and then battle points.
Day 3 (3 games, single elimination)
#1 of each bracket enter championship bracket.
W/L then battle points will be used to determine who will go into each bracket.
People who lose game 1 are 5-8 (determined by BP)(Payout is the same so no tie breakers)
People who lose game 2 are 3-4 (determined by BP)(Payout is the same so no tie breakers)
Final 2 players are 1-2. Bracket seeding is done by groups. Bracket is as such:
Day 3 Addendum
Everyone who did not win a group plays in a single elimination bracket against other players of equal rank.
Using the standings from each group to decide each bracket.
These will be seeded in the bracket based on W/L first and then battle points from the whole event.
Additional prize support for the winner of each bracket is TBD at this time.
Day Tie Breaker Scenarios
Friday
1. If two players are tied in record and BP on Friday, they will flip a coin to determine which group they will go in for Saturday.
2. If three players are tied in record and BP on Friday, they will round robin flip a coin to determine which group they will go in for Saturday.
Saturday
1. If two players are tied in record and BP on Saturday, they will play an additional game to determine who advances
2. If three players are tied in record and BP on Saturday, they will be seeded into a single elimination bracket and play it out as follows:
- Seeding will be based on the players overall record from both days.
- If there is still a tie the players seed based on the players total BP from both days.
- If there is still a tie, the players seed based on the players’ seed at the start of Saturday.
